FX Artist (Feature Animation) - Hungary

DIGIC Pictures has been making 3D animated films for more than twenty years. We have won numerous prestigious awards and created short films for world-renowned barands such as Call of Duty,  Netflix's Love, Death & Robots and Amazon's Secret Level series.

Our team is currently working on several high-profile projects, including the animated film series based on the world-famous card game Magic: The Gathering for Netflix.

Location:  Full-time | This role is Hungary based. You must be based in Hungary or committed to relocating. (Budapest ideally).

Seniority: We would be open to review applications from Junior through to Lead level (inclusive). 

FX Artist (Feature Animation) - Hungary

Responsibilities

What you'll do:

Design and create stylized FX in Houdini

Simulate and render particle, fluid, and other dynamic systems

Integrate FX into Maya/Nuke/Unreal workflows

Collaborate with supervisors and production

Take ownership of complex tasks (solo or with a small team)

Essential Skills

What we're looking for:

5+ years experience as an FX Artist

Proficiency in Houdini

Working knowledge of Unreal Engine, Maya, Arnold, and Nuke

For freelancers: ability to invoice legally under Hungarian law

Intermediate English communication skills

Experience with stylized visuals is a big plus
