Project Operations Manager

The role covers all Hungarian Business Unit projects and customer locations, including opportunity and feasibility assessment, implementation and mobilization, operational delivery, workforce and resource planning, profitability and performance management, customer relationships, continuous improvement, and compliance with quality, safety and company standards.Business Development Support: Support Sales in customer discussions, site visits, quotations and negotiations, ensuring operational feasibility and alignment with customer requirements.Project Lifecycle Management:  Manage projects from opportunity assessment through implementation, start-up and handover, ensuring effective delivery, stakeholder coordination and risk management.Operational Managemen:  Lead day-to-day operations, driving efficiency, service quality and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with customer and company standards.Customer & Stakeholder Management:  Serve as the primary operational customer contact, managing relationships, resolving escalations and supporting customer satisfaction and growth opportunities.Financial & Profitability Management: Monitor profitability, resource utilization and cost control, supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial performance objectives.Resource Planning & Workforce Management:  Ensure adequate staffing and workforce capability through effective manpower planning, resource allocation and collaboration with HR and recruitment partners.People Leadership:  Lead, coach and develop teams, promoting accountability, talent development, collaboration and customer focus.Quality, Compliance & Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with legal, customer and company requirements while supporting quality standards, audits, corrective actions and a strong safety culture. Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Management or a related technical field.Experience: Minimum 5 years in operations/project management, industrial services, manufacturing, logistics or a similar environment, including customer projects, team leadership, workforce planning, financial/profitability management and business-growth or acquisition support.Technical Knowledge: Strong project-management and manufacturing/operations knowledge; familiarity with IATF 16949 and VDA principles; quality and problem-solving tools; operational and financial data analysis; advanced MS Office; and business systems & reporting tools.Language Skills: Native Hungarian and advanced written and spoken English.Flexibility & Mobility: High flexibility in working hours and location; frequent travel across Hungary, occasional European travel, rapid response to project needs, comfort in dynamic environments, and a valid Category B driving licence.
