Managing day-to-day operations of Databricks data pipelines, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuningMaintaining Delta Lake data layers (bronze / silver / gold), ensuring data availability, consistency, and smooth pipeline executionMonitoring and supporting data pipeline operations (failures, delays, data quality issues)Performing incident handling and root cause analysis for data platform issuesOptimizing Spark jobs, cluster performance, and platform cost usageImplementing data observability (logging, monitoring, alerting)Supporting CI/CD and deployment of data pipelinesCollaborating to ensure end-to-end data reliability and SLA adherence EducationUniversity or college degree with specialization in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent practical experienceExperience3+ years of experience in Data Engineering  or similar roleExperience with distributed data processing (Apache Spark)Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (preferably Databricks)Exposure to running and supporting production data pipelinesExperience troubleshooting data issues in live environmentsAbility to work in a geo-distributed team with limited supervisionProfessional and Technical CompetenciesHand-on Experience with Azure Databricks and/or Apache SparkUnderstanding of Lakehouse architecture and Delta LakeKnowledge of orchestration tools (ADF, Airflow, Databricks Workflows) and CI/CD toolsUnderstanding of monitoring and logging in data platforms (Datadog, Azure Monitor)Strong programming skills (Python preferred, Java optional)Professional usage of Microsoft Office Suite.Experience with Atlassian JIRA, Confluence.Basic understanding of data security and scalability principlesExperience collaborating with cross-functional teamsSoft SkillsStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.Self-driven, detail-oriented, capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards Strong written and verbal communication skills in English for cross-functional collaboration.Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.Proactive mindset with a positive attitude and a strong sense of ownership, and team mentality.Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning, adapting, and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.Openness to work with different cultures across CEE.
