Regional Commodity Specialist (NPM Procurement)

Your responsibilitiesThe Specialist Regional Commodity NPM Procurement is responsible for implementing regional commodity strategies within their respective region and ensuring alignment with local business needs. This role bridges regional strategy and local execution, managing supplier relationships, driving cost optimization, and ensuring supply security in the assigned locations.Translate regional commodity strategies into actionable local plansProvide local market intelligence and feedback to Senior Manager Regional Commodity NPM and/or Regional Commodity Managers NPMIdentify and mitigate local supply risks or claimsManage and develop local supplier base in alignment with global and/or regional strategiesConduct local negotiations and implement global and/or regional agreements locallyMonitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement trough saving measuresSupport plants and business units in resolving supply issues according to the cross functional responsibility matrix and escalation guidelineEnsure compliance with PSM Governance, procurement policies and regulatory standardsTrack and report local KPIsAct as the primary contact for local stakeholders on commodity-related procurement topics Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field1-3 years of experience in procurement or commodity management, preferably with regional/local exposureFluent English, German language is a plusFamiliarity with SAPNegotiation and supplier management skillsAnalytical and problem-solving abilitiesEffective communication and stakeholder managementKnowledge of regional and/or local supply markets and regulations
